Christmas at the End of the Road

The Winthrop Chamber is excited to announce our annual Christmas at the End of the Road Festival to thank our local community for shopping local. This is a free event which will include door prizes, street food vendors, carolers, and the opportunity to purchase reusable locally made bags and mugs at our free hot cocoa stand at our Visitor's Information Center (On Saturday). The $20 mugs will be made by Emily Post and will feature the town logo. The $30 bags are made by eqpd and will also feature the town logo.

This magical holiday celebration begins Thanksgiving weekend & marks the beginning of the Christmas season for the Methow Valley.  An old fashion Cowboy Christmas!  Santa photos, horse drawn wagon rides, town lighting, fireworks, hot cocoa, skate with Santa at the ice rink, fun run (5k & 1k), music, fireworks extravanganza.

Tentative Schedule of Events:

Friday November 29
2:00pm - 4:00pm: Storytelling by Granny Winthrop at Trail's End Bookstore
6:00pm - 8:00pm: Ice skate with Santa
6:00pm: Live music at Sixknot Taproom, Methow Valley Ciderhouse & Old Schoolhouse Brewery
Saturday November 30
10:00am: End of the road run 5k run and 1k kids fun run
12:00pm: Santa arrives in town!
1:00 - 4:00pm: Children's winterfest at the Winthrop Barn Auditorium
  • Horse drawn wagon rides to and from the barn to downtown
  • Santa photos by the Winthrop Kiwanis
  • Hot Chocolate, cider, cookies, hotdogs, and chili by American Legion Auxiliary and Winthrop Auditorium Association
3:00pm: Campfires along Riverside Ave
3:00pm - 5:00pm: Caroling along Riverside Ave., Meet at town hall
5:00pm: Town lighting
6:00pm: Fireworks Extravaganza!
6:30pm: Live music at The Methow Valley Ciderhouse
Everything is free except for the ice skating with Santa.
