Stayed here and it was a nice inn close to a lot of trails. The were definitely understaffed when we were there but everyone was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and the shower was fine. The bed was pretty comfortable, They have an outdoor pool and a hot tub. There are 2 areas to park. The inn gets booked so if you know when you want to go, book early!

We stopped into the Mazama Inn for burgers on a Friday night. Simply awesome! A young couple is running the kitchen two nights a week. Locally sourced meats, crispy, juicy, and flavorful. No attempt at haute cuisine here, just an honest, fill you up, burger. We will be back. Cheap beer too.

Stayed here the day we got off the PCT. No one was in the office and it was after hours. With no where to go, we called the host who's number was on the door and she was able to get us a room. The room had air conditioning, soft bed and pillows and an amazing shower. I do recommend calling ahead to get rooms they book fast even in the middle of the week.

Love the people, location and cabins.
Great hiking and love the close proximity to Winthrop and Twisp.

There are only two places to stay basically while you are in Mazama and this is one of them. Maybe that explains why the prices are so high. It helps that is right next door to the Mazama store, which is an amazing place and seems to be where everybody in the entire area goes (it also helps that there is nowhere else to go). The inn is quaint and cute. My first impressions were pretty poor, but it grew a little on me during our stay as it has a very cozy feel and a great common room with board games to hang out in.

The room itself was cramped. We had a loft and it was still not enough space for a family of four. The loft has a nice sized bed, but the bed downstairs is tiny. They do provide a futon, but there was barely any space to lay it out on the floor. We made do and it was fine for a couple of days. We ended up using the common room a LOT. Hopefully, we didn't scare any of the other guests away from it.

Other downsides are very poor wireless connectivity (but they do have it just don't expect much), and noise levels due to the age of the building. We were upstairs so this didn't affect us as much, but we were warned when we checked in not to make too much noise for our downstairs neighbors especially since we had children. We spent two days walking on eggshells and yelling furiously at our kids in whispers. And more time spent in the common room. What a way to feel welcome! That was our biggest criticism of all. The unfriendliness of the service when we checked in. My husband tried his best to change the room to a cabin and that was a no go. Even when she said it was easier to rent a room than a cabin and warned us about the kids and noise. We were confused to say the least.

They do have a pool, but it is on the small side. The hot tub is in a completely different location and not meant for children. You can only use the gym for an extra fee (which meant it was completely unused), you need to pay to borrow a DVD (well a donation comes highly recommended), and the office is unmanned/locked at any time of the day. The second day my kids were going stir crazy so I tried to rent a DVD (this was in the afternoon) and the office was locked with a sign saying no service for the rest of the day. Awesome.

I have mixed feelings about our stay at the Inn at Mazama. Mostly good, and some bad. 1) Its quaint and charming. We loved the large fireplace in the dining room (no dining options due to being understaffed). We started our own fire every night and hung out with some beer we picked up at the School House brewery in Winthrop. We had the place to ourselves. 2) Its very expensive for what you get. We brought our dog so were rightfully given a dog friendly room, which smelled like dog and was completely outdated with 90's furniture, no television, and threadbare carpeting. I know not to expect the nicest room, but we paid around ~$280/night AND were charged extra for the dog. So I feel torn about that. 3) The staff were friendly but non-existent. We woke to 15" of snow one morning and no power. No one was around to shovel, so my husband shoveled and was rewarded with a gift certificate to the Mazama Store later on. So nice! 4) The hot tub wasn't hot enough to enjoy. 5) The Mazama Store is adorable and they serve the most amazing pastries in the morning and delicious coffee! We loved tromping over in the snow every morning with our dog. Its truly a gem in the area.

If you're looking for friendly and comfortable lodging in this neck of the woods then you must check out the goodies this rustic inn has to offer. There are different room configurations both inside the Inn and in two exterior buildings, 18 rooms total. There's good food, tennis court, swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, squash court.

There is wi-fi if you can't bring yourself to disconnect. Cell service, all but nonexistent. No phones or televisions in the rooms; two phones and a television are in the Inn. Bring a calling card or buy one in the gift shop.

High seasons are summer and winter. Low seasons are spring and autumn.

The Inn is family friendly so keep that in mind if what you're looking for is nothing but silence as pristine as the Pasayten wilderness.

Been staying here for years, a fun and happy place.

Lovely place tucked in the woods, nice location however there is one structural flaw and one management flaw.

Structural issues- we stayed in a room on the lower level. The sound coming from upstairs was loud and intrusive. We could hear toilets flush, water running and people stomping and walking. Sound insulation was very poor.

Management issues- when you check in you receive a coupon for 10% off a meals in the dining room. It says it runs from 7-11:30. This is not accurate. We arrived at 11:26 and were told the kitchen was closed and they refused to serve us. We talked to the front desk and they did nothing.
