The only thing that would make Lariat better in my eyes is if they built a small space there to sip their coffee :) Their Cowboy Mud blend is my personal favorite but I enjoy everything I've tried so far. And their Black Colt cold brew is to die for (they started selling this in 2015). Every time I'm in Winthrop and I try and get my hands on that. When Lariat is closed I can often grab it at the Mazama Store, but I prefer to go to the warehouse because it smells so divine. PS: You can buy Black Colt by the growler! Lariat remains one of our favorite things about Winthrop.

I have been a fan of Lariat's Cowboy Mud roast for years, ever since a friend of mine introduced me to it. I used to have her buy it for me from the co-op in Tonakset or buy it there myself if I happened to be in the area. And then I discovered I could purchase it online! So now I usually order a pound every 2 weeks or so.
I absolutely love that they roast to order and that they ship within 24 hours of roasting. Often my orders are shipped and roasted the same day.
I have yet to find another coffee that compares to Cowboy Mud (excluding the other roasts that Lariat offers. I've tried their others but CM is my favorite). I even gave a shot at Death Wish coffee, who touts the highest caffeine content in the world. No noticeable difference in caffeine and the flavor was just okay. I'll stick to Cowboy Mud.
Recently on a trip to Washington I was able to visit their store front. Lori knew exactly who I was, despite only knowing my name from my habitual orders.
Amazing company with amazing coffee.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aaron P.Sun Valley, NV327102Jul 26, 2015First to Review
This is some of the best coffee you can ever get. The coffee, literally has none of the bitterness that is usually associated with the aftertaste of any (even high end) coffee.
They have a ton of flavors to offer. They ship as we live over 800 miles away. We have ordered from them since 2011 and will continue to do so.
Start with their Cowboy Mud and branch out from there- you will be glad you did!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julie S.Pagosa Springs, CO12033Jun 15, 2017
Great coffee! I read the previous reviews and stopped in to buy some beans to take home. I was very impressed with the owners' knowledge and passion around their product, and the coffee is delicious! Lots of buzz here about the Cowboy Mud, but the 16 hands is equally delicious! My boyfriend is a true coffee snob (he has a hand grinder and uses the pour over method every morning) and he was impressed!

Enjoyed their coffee at the Inn we visited. Amazing flavor. I like strong, dark, rich coffee, and this just became one of my favorites.

Stopped in with my kids and found single origin beans and a fun new coffeemaker! And couldn't resist cold concentrate - they even have me recipes and ideas for my girls weekend. :)

Terrific decaf. Swiss water processed, that means no formaldehyde, people! Dark, smooth, rich flavor. I just wish it was easier to find in stores near Seattle. I found it a couple times at Leschi Market. Just sent some to my dad for Christmas.
