Racers who are able to qualify within two minutes of the leader will have an opportunity to move on to the heats. Those racers who are eliminated in the quarterfinals will be put in a “consolation” semifinal, so that all racers will be able to ski at least two heats.
Sunday will be skate distance races with individual starts.
Skiers younger than 8 years old will race in an untimed mass start “lollipop” race each day.
