Nordic Skiing

Okanogan Country has the largest groomed Nordic ski trail system in North America with 300 km of groomed Nordic ski trails. Ski hut-to-hut and town-to-town, enjoy the sweeping views and varied terrain, and have a winter experience of a lifetime!

The most extensive grooming is in the beautiful Methow Valley where 200+ km. of trails, with skating lanes, are groomed daily. Loup Loup Ski Bowl grooms 22 km of track, with skating lanes, once or twice a week. Other groomed trails in Okanogan Country are the Loup Loup South Summit Sno-Park (46 km.) and the Highlands Sno-Park (30 km.) near Havillah. These last two areas require a Washington State Sno-Park permit that can be purchased from many area businesses and at all Okanogan National Forest offices. www.parks.wa.gov

You can ski hut-to-hut with rendezvous huts, or ski with your dogs at select trails in the methow trails system. Head up to Loup Ski Hill and try some alpine skiing in the morning, and Nordic for the afternoon! The options are endless.
