Cottonwood/Oriole Campground

Cottonwood campground: This small, but pleasant campground next to the North Fork Salmon Creek has 3 group campsites and 7 regular sites. All campsites have a picnic table, fire ring, and parking space. A new toilet facility has recently been installed. This is a great campground to beat the heat in town during the days of July and August. This is a Fee site ($10.00). Open May through October.

From Conconully drive through town to the north on County Road #2361 which turns into Forest Service Road #38 at the Forest Service boundary. Continue on Forest Service Road #38 for .2 miles to Campground entrance on your left.

Oriole Campground

  • Head north through the town of Conconully on FSR 38 for 1.9 miles. Follow sign to campground on FSR-38-025, campground on left as you cross the N Fork Salmon Creek. 
  • Fee area. $10/site, $5/ extra vehicle. Pay station available.
  • 14 day camp limit
  • 10 campsites, of which 3 are group sites (Cottonwood campground)
  • Picnic table and fire pit in each campsite
