Green Lakes

Provided by: Okanogan Country

Green Lake is 45 acres and Lower Green 9 acres. They are located about 5 miles northwest of Omak. Boat launch and restrooms on site. Disability access.

Many of the bigger rainbow are caught just after the ice comes off the lake, typically in March.  Some of the rainbow can weigh a couple of pounds then, but most of the rainbow from Green Lake are in the 11- to 13-inch class.  There is a WDFW access area with campsites and a concrete boat ramp.  Fly fishers like to troll Wooly Buggers here in the spring and trollers of standard gear will use spinners or Rapalas or Flatfish.  Through the ice anglers will offer the trout dough baits, worms, maggots or meal worms.
