Omak Lake is the longest natural lake in Okanogan County, located on the Colville Reservation, a short drive from the town of Omak. It is approximately 3,244 acres, and known as the largest saline lake in the state of Washington. The waters clear blue color is striking against the white rocks along the shoreline and the browns of the surrounding desert landscape. It has a completely undeveloped shoreline which is off-limits to non-tribal members, bar from the 2 access beaches on the north end of the lake. Mission beach, accessed off of Highway 155, with swimming area and legal boat launch, and Nicholson beach (aka Beer Can beach) off of Columbia River Rd, with 1/4 mile of "sandy" beach and a small craft boat launch are accessible to non-tribal members with required Reservation Recreation Pass, which can be purchased online at https://colville.nagfa.net/online/

Lahontan Cutthroat averaging 3-4 lbs can be caught on the lake. Check with Tribal fishing regulations and acquire proper permits before fishing at Omak lake. Record for Lahontan Cutthroat trout at 18.04 lbs. set in 1993.
