OVERVIEW

A quick, beautiful drive from Highway 97 just south of Tonasket, lands you right on the shores of this spectacular lake. 102 acres of still waters surrounded by unique little campsites and an ancient orchard. The boat launches are easy to access, with most of the day-use & camping sites convenient for launching a kayak or canoe. Sit back to watch the turtles, river otters, a variety of waterfowl, plus abundant rainbow trout jumping and biting here throughout the season.

Truly a hidden treasure of the Okanogan, Fish Lake will keep the whole family entertained. Don’t forget the marshmallows!

FISHING & LAKE NOTES

This remote lake resides within the Sinlahekin Wildlife Area and is one of the more popular opening day waters in Okanogan County. There are numerous areas to camp on the lake, along with several boat launches. Expect rainbow trout in the 10-12 inch range with carryovers to 15 inches.

Small mouth bass are fun for the kids to catch from shore on the lower end of this lake near the earthen dam. Or troll a line behind your boat for more action!

AREA DESCRIPTION

A gravel loop makes exploring the lake by foot, bike, or vehicle easy. In 2014, the Limebelt Fire left its mark on the landscape and some of the burn is still visible today. The Okanogan Wenatchee National Forest maintains the campsites on opposing sides of the water, plus the bathrooms & firepits are also well cared for.

Bring a swimsuit for a dip in the lake after your exploration of the tributaries, wildflowers, and wild edges along this incredible lake.
