Quick Safety Tips
"Be prepared for getting stranded - food, water, shelter enough to survive a day or two before folks hopefully come to the rescue. Snowmobiles can get you further than you can walk in a day or even two in the snow. Let people know where you plan to be. Always keep your partners in sight. Be safe."
— Dale Swedberg | Local Naturalist and Retired Manager of the Sinlahekin Wildlife Area
Wintering Wildlife
As you get out this winter to enjoy the great outdoors, be mindful that these areas are home to many wildlife species that over-winter here. Make a note of designated mule deer winter ranges and minimize disturbances to all the many creatures (big & small) that call these places home. Thanks for doing your part to help keep our wildlife safe & secure!
