Golfing
Okanogan Country has six scenic, challenging, and affordable golf courses that are as expansive as the blue sky above them. Plan a golf tour on your next vacation and sample all six of our amazing golf courses!
It's a rare bear who makes par on Bear Creek Golf Course, due to the distracting scenery as the majestic North Cascade Mountains frame the blue sky only a few miles to the west. Down valley near Alta Lake, where the fishing is prime and the Methow meets the Columbia, Alta Lake Golf Course has gorgeous views of the lake, rolling links and challenging greens. The Lake Woods Golf Course is a delightful tree-lined, small greened challenge adjacent to the Bridgeport State Park and only a mile from the imposing Chief Joseph Dam. Duck hook a ball on the ninth hole and it may end up in the Columbia River! Situated just up the river, high above the Columbia is one of nature’s more dramatic golf settings. Gamble Sands Golf Course offers a breathtaking perspective of the river below, and stunning views of the snow-capped Cascade mountains and vast apple & cherry orchards. The Okanogan Valley Golf Course is a literal walk in the park with fairways lined by shady maple trees the discerning golfer will appreciate as they give thought to the perfect approach. The Oroville Golf Club course spectacular views of the Similkameen river and beautiful greens rival those of any U.S. Open. Many agree they are the most challenging greens of any public course in the State.
The scenery surrounding Okanogan Country golf courses is unrivaled almost anywhere else in the state, the people are friendly, the skies are blue, the lodging comfortable, and the food is delicious. Come sink a ball with us!
